Sponsorship & Marketing Intern Job Description

Looking for a great seasonal job or internship? The Parade Company is looking for a talented individual to help out in our Sponsorship & Marketing Department! This is a fall position beginning September 5 through December 7, 2017.

This position operates on The Parade Company’s normal working hours of 8:30am – 5:00pm.  Additional hours, late nights, and weekends are required and may occur spontaneously and without prior notice.  This position is a 40+ hour a week position.

Key Position Objectives

  • To provide assistance to the Sponsorship Activation & Program Manager in the following areas:

Grandstand Ticket Sales

  • Compile and record all grandstand ticket orders via, electronic, phone and written requests
  • Keep accurate records of ticket sales and section placement
  • Coordinate ticket fulfillment and mailing to purchasers
  • Assist in coordination of delivery of group sales tickets to corporations and organizations
  • Answer questions regarding grandstand tickets
  • Coordinate ticket pick up Will Call pickup event day
  • Provide weekly reports for sales compilations per section
  • Maintain supply inventory
  • Complete year-end report including total sales, customer list, and placement totals
  • Additional duties as assigned

Sponsorship

  • Attend sponsor orientation sessions at Parade Studio and Sponsor locations to convey event details to corporate marchers
  • Assist in material distribution and field questions by sponsors and marchers
  • Maintain sponsor fulfillment chart with current contacts and activation
  • Assist in coordination of Sponsor Breakfast on Thanksgiving morning
  • Coordinate in-kind donations as required
  • Assist in creation of post-event wrap up books for sponsors and donors
  • Additional duties as assigned

Marketing

  • Assist Parade Staff at all Parade Events with information table set up, general event needs, and greeting
  • General assistance in Parade Company marketing needs and distribution
  • Assist in maintaining and organizing Studio Store and all merchandising fulfillment
  • Assist in the creation of collateral material for Parade Company programs as needed
  • Additional duties as assigned

  Qualifications

  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to engage in front of a large group of people
  • Experience in dealing with diverse audiences
  • Available to work evenings and weekends with extended hours around key events
  • Proficient on Office suite of products
  • Graphics skills desirable but not required (Photoshop, In-Design, Illustrator, etc.)
